St Marys Church, Tadcaster

First Sunday of the Month – All Age Worship
This service is for all ages to worship together.  The service is different each month, but we aim to have something for everyone.  It’s an informal, friendly service, with parts that the children can join in with as well as something for those who are slightly older!

Third Sunday of the Month – Morning Prayer
A more traditional non-Communion service, with a range of styles of music.  Books and toys are available in the side chapel for very young babies and toddlers.

Other Sundays – Holy Communion
For the remaining weeks of the month, we have a service of Holy Communion.  It’s a more traditional service than Morning Praise, but still accessible and welcoming to newcomers as well as for those who are more used to church.  On the second Sunday, children are invited to the Boys Sunday School for the middle part of the service for their own activities and the side chapel in church has toys and space to move around for babies and toddlers.

Tadcaster Methodists

Tadcaster Methodist Church was built to the glory of God and seeks to share the good news of God’s love for all. We offer opportunities for worship and encouragement is given to enable individuals to grow and learn in their journeys of faith.

We welcome all to join in our activities and through the adaptation of our premises we are able to provide facilities that are accessible to all. This means that we are better able to serve God, meet the needs of the Church family and of the wider community of Tadcaster and surrounding villages.

Services:
10:15am every Sunday.

East Side Fellowship

We are a small group of Christians who meet in homes on the east side of Tadcaster. We believe in worship and witness on our own doorstep seeking ways to engage and serve our community. We have a lively celebration on a Sunday acknowledging the power and presence of the Holy Spirit whilst remaining faithful to understanding and learning from the Bible. We meet midweek to further explore the Word of God and support one another as a cell group. It is our aim to empower people to populate the
Kingdom of God.

North Yorkshire Youth

Here at North Yorkshire Youth we’re passionate about our product – opportunities for children and young people to discover their own potential.
That was the vision of our founders, way back in 1941, and it’s still our aim today.
We provide opportunities for children and young people to learn and grow by:
  • supporting youth work in North Yorkshire communities
  • providing adventurous activities from Carlton Lodge Outdoor Centre
  • providing training opportunities for young people and those who work with them

Archbishop of York Youth Trust

The Archbishop of York Youth Trust is a charity based in the north of England whichbegan its life in 2008 when The Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu announced his vision that rather than being part of the problem facing some of our communities today, young people were actually the answer.

As a charity we exist to help resolve these issues through;

• REACHING out to young people

• ENGAGING with young people and

• EMPOWERING them to be the change they want to see.

Yorkshire Camps

In Britain, 86% of children and young people have no church contact. The vast majority of them know very little about the Christian faith and don’t understand its significance.
In Yorkshire there is a population of 5.5 million people. The number of evangelical believers is estimated at about 0.4% and falling, which is comparable to Japan!
Camps provide a unique way to reach many young people with the good news of Jesus and especially those who don’t have contact with a church.
