After a very busy run up to Christmas we have had a quieter few weeks and our clubs are all back up and running this week.
We finished last term with a 24 hour prayer in Manor Farm. We ran this from 8pm on Friday 16th December to 8pm on the 17th and it was a brilliant experience for everyone involved. Austin and Cyril organised the building with prayer stations and worship videos in the main room and then other prayer stations in the prayer room too. There was plenty of food on the go most of the time which was especially appreciated by the 10 brave souls who stayed over the night. Following a picture that one of us had we tried to circle the building on the hour every hour to pray for more of God’s light and this has certainly been effective as we sense the lovely old building filling with God’s Spirit. I am sure that we will have another one of these later this year.
We, a leaders were heavily involved with the Live Nativity out at Healaugh. It was a fabulous two days of getting the play ready and then two wonderful performances. As always the rain (and storm) held off for the performances themselves which was a great blessing.
Although we have been quieter on the club front until this week we have not been sitting on our laurels as we have held two training evenings for our volunteers, have begun planning Holiday Club (31st July – 4th August), been on a first aid course and have been preparing for our new course for teenaged girls (I’m The Girl I Want To Be) to start this week. The first session of the course is this afternoon at 4pm at Manor Farm and we are very excited to see who comes along.

We are excited about honing our vision and we are asking God to ‘break our hearts for what breaks his’. Do pray for us as we seek to show love peace and hope to the young people of Tadcaster.
