The Bridge Project, Tadcaster

We’re a faith based charity demonstrating God’s love to our community.

We want to see healing, restoration and flourishing of young people’s relationships through Christian education, social opportunities and mental health support.

We support young people’s mental health.

Our programme of activities provides young people with a safe space to be listened to, feel valued and belong. We walk alongside young people in crisis, building resilience and teaching them tools to enable long term success in managing their mental health.

The drop-in youth clubs sees around 60 children get weekly support from youth workers who are passionate about empowering young people and making a tangible difference in their lives. We also run courses giving young people skills to better cope with the changes that life throws at them and showing them they are highly valued.

We provide opportunities to explore faith.

Young people and their families have a safe and non-judgemental space to explore the Christian faith. We break down barriers, answer questions and talk about the hot topics! We provide interactive prayer spaces that make the Christian faith relevant and alive, helping people to discover their God-given purpose. Through our schools work we provide more opportunities in assemblies and lessons to explore the timeless truth of the Bible and encounter a loving, faithful God.

We inspire people to make a difference

We have accredited volunteering opportunities for young people and adults, enabling them to give back to their community and take the lead in effecting lasting change in Tadcaster and the surrounding areas. We also train youth workers to inspire the next generation through Level 2 & 3 JNC training.
